Creating Balance with a Retaining Wall

One of the key elements of this project was addressing the yard’s slope. To create a more level area for planting and a sense of structure, we incorporated a retaining wall. Not only does it help manage the gentle incline, but it also adds depth and visual interest as you approach the property. The texture and design of the wall tie together the natural surroundings while serving a functional purpose.

Designing with Drought-Tolerant Plants

The plant selection was central to the project. We focused on drought-tolerant varieties that would thrive in the local climate, requiring minimal water and little upkeep. The plantings offer a variety of colors and textures that stay low-maintenance throughout the year. This approach allows the yard to remain lush and green with very little effort from the homeowner.

Low-Maintenance, High-Appeal Features

Another important consideration was ease of maintenance. My client wanted a yard that would look great without requiring constant attention. The clean lines of the design and strategic plant placement also minimize the need for constant trimming or upkeep, making it the perfect choice for a busy homeowner.
